This massive viaduct is over Northington Road in Itchen Abbas. It used to carry the railway that connected Alton to Winchester, which opened in 1865 and closed in 1973.

Disused Station
This was all that remained of Itchen Abbas Station on the former Winchester & Alton Railway in 1979. Note the design similarity to that of Ropley Station on the restored section of this line. Houses now occupy this site.
