'King George V' heads north at Stokewood level crossing, Stokesay
KGV is heading the �Great Western Returns� railtour on its way to Shrewsbury. The train, organised by the Great Western Society, had started at Paddington. The King took over at Hereford for the return run to Shrewsbury.

Stokesay castle
Not a castle, but a fortified manor house, hardly changed since the late 13th century. It was built by Lawrence Ludlow, a leading wool merchant of his day. In the background is a 17th century timber framed gatehouse.
