Looking south west back down from the summit of Black Knoll. I�ve just walked slowly up here, not rushing to reach the top of the hill, just savouring the views. I had plenty of time today to just be carefree and �stand and stare�.

Great wooden bell tower that has the 3rd oldest bell in the country of England inside it; still operates well! Also, I must say, that weathervane sure was a surprise when I saw a fish in its place!

Riding a bike up this is always a bit of a flog, so an opportunity to stop and take a picture makes a welcome break.

Three footpaths and a bridleway (The Jack Mytton Way) all converge here at this gateway, which is near to the highest point on the south end of the Mynd. Well signposted, it's hard to go the wrong way.
