The smaller of the two waterfalls near Aber.

Rhaeadr-bach
Both of the falls provide a sort of micro-climate where not only birches and other saplings survive in the surrounding rocky crags but also rare mosses, liverworts, lichens, anemones and, in Spring, primroses thrive.

To take this picture, I stepped back from the path to take in the surrounding hillside. Because I was looking due south at around midday, the sun caused a peculiar halo effect on the horizon.
