Milestone in the wall of Ring Wood, Langsett
This is on Hartcliff Hill Road, which is part of the Rotherham branch of the old salt way from Cheshire to south Yorkshire. It was turnpiked in 1741. The stone is inscribed XV - 15 miles to Rotherham.

I was very surprised to see these Jacobs sheep in this mixed flock.
