Sheep on the road to Winterhopeburn
This was taken in late March with Megget Reservoir in the background. The sheep had followed me from Meggethead Farm thinking I was the farmer with food. A few minutes later a farm worker came along to feed them NT1721 : Feeding sheep at Meggethead.

Sheep are grazing on this narrow strip of land between the farm road to Winterhopeburn and the southwest end of the reservoir. The buildings on the left are at Meggethead with Meggetknowes Craig on the right.

Even after the driest Spring anyone can remember, the Megget and Talla reservoirs are full. That is because it turned into a normal Summer. More rain on its way from the south west.

Megget Water and Megget Reservoir
Just to the east of Meggethead Farm, the Megget Water runs into the reservoir of the same name, which was completed in 1983 to supply Edinburgh and the Lothians with water.
