A glacial flood on the Nepal-Tibet border has left widespread devastation, killing more than 600 people and wiping out entire communities.

In Trishuli Bazaar, survivors are searching for missing friends and relatives while rescue teams comb through mud and debris. Many families have lost homes, livelihoods and loved ones.

Authorities say difficult mountain terrain and limited resources are slowing recovery efforts, as fears of further flooding continue to haunt affected communities.
