Sally Davies, Gloucester:
I recently went to Blackgang Chine theme park and was shocked to find they had an attraction called 'the Mouth of Hell'.
It is clearly unsuitable for children. How are parents supposed to explain what hell is to their child? I have mental health difficulties and also found this very disturbing.
When I contacted the theme park they told me it was part of their 'storytelling' and had been there since 1972!
I think this attraction should be removed or at the very least renamed.

The County Press contacted Blackgang Chine for a response. Here's what the attraction said:
"Blackgang Chine has a long-standing history of using storytelling, theatrical theming and imaginative characters throughout the park.
"The ‘Mouth of Hell’ has been part of Blackgang Chine since 1972 and forms part of this long-established approach to storytelling and theatrical theming.
"The attraction is intended within that fictional and theatrical context, rather than to cause distress or promote any particular religious belief.
"We appreciate, however, that different themes and forms of storytelling can affect visitors in different ways, and we take these comments seriously, with feedback always being shared with wider park management for any potential changes."
Blackgang confirmed a full refund was issued following the complaint.
