Driver fined £533 after being caught at 99mph on M3

A motorist who was caught driving at 99mph on the M3 near Hook has been fined more than £500.

Brogan Cochrane, 35, of Falcon Road, Warminster, was sentenced at Aldershot Magistrates' Court on September 21 after admitting a speeding offence committed on the motorway near Hook.

The court heard that Cochrane was driving a BMW on the M3 at Hook on July 6, 2025, when he exceeded the 70mph speed limit.

His speed was recorded at 99mph.

Magistrates fined him £533 and endorsed his driving licence with six penalty points.

He was also ordered to pay £130 in prosecution costs and a victim surcharge of £213.

The total financial penalty imposed was £876.

Cochrane pleaded guilty to speeding and was sentenced at a hearing on September 21.
