The flu vaccine is now available for free to certain people across the UK.
The annual flu jab is being offered by the NHS for free in a bid to protect people who may be at higher risk of getting seriously ill from the infection.
The free vaccine is available now until March 31, 2027, though people are encouraged to get it as soon as possible to be protected over the winter months.
Online booking will close on March 30, 2027.
Who is entitled to get the flu vaccine for free?
You can get the flu vaccine for free if you fit into one of the follow catagories:

How to book your free flu vaccine

People can also book an appointment with their local GP surgery.
It's important to note that you can only get the jab for free on the NHS if you are eligible.
Can you pay to get the flu vaccine?
Although you can get the flu jab for free if you are eligible, if you are not, you can pay for a private appointment.
Boots has already opened its booking system for flu appointments, which cost £21.95 and can be booked via its website.
