Big wholesome pecans that smell wonderful
These are big fat fresh raw pecans that really smell like pecans should smell. They smell great so I don't hesitate to recommend these. I grew up in Texas and have had a lot of pecans in my life. The Fisher Organic Pecans are good ones. Nuts are such a good protein source with zero preparation required that I always have various sorts of raw nuts on hand. The nutrition profile of raw pecans with all their antioxidants is intact when the nuts are raw and fresh. I do think toasting/roasting pecans lightly in the oven brings out their flavor better as well as crisping them; nuts are also more fully digestible if they are cooked a bit. I don't toast pecans for snacking purposes but I often do so for incorporating them into recipes. I'm enjoying these raw on Peaches and Cream Oatmeal, toasted on Honey Pecan Shrimp (a home re-creation of a Chinese restaurant dish that isn't a real Chinese recipe), and, yes, they shall be embedded in goo in Pecan Pie! A classic recipe for that is on the back of the Fisher Organic Pecans bag.

    I eat these all the time. The larger "bags" sold in warehouse stores ate somewhat cheaper, but these have a more distinct nut taste, are sweeter than those.
