Great combination of ingredients!
These capsule are on the large side. They are a bit large to swallow more than one time. These do have a little herbal dry taste that stays in your mouth a minute, but nothin intense of bad. With that said, you will need a drink to wash these down. I have been taking these for a few weeks now an they have helped! This is the best berberine supplement I have tried so far. I just wish they were a bit cheaper per serving.

I've been taking various complicated Berberine supplements over the last year or two, and this one brings it down to four ingredients, a gram of Berberine, 200 micrograms of Chromium Picolinate, 50mg of Alphia Lipoic Acid, and 50mg of cinnamon.
They're normal-size capsules; the photo shows a US nickel for scale, as I didn't have my usual quarter handy. There's a mild scent in the bottle, but no noticeable taste or smell at the two capsule dose. THe bottle includes 30 daily doses of two capsules each, for a bit under a dollar a day at the current $25 price.
As with all supplements I've reviewed, I can't speak to the long-term efficacy of this supplement, or whether it's right for you. Supplements may not work for everyone, and they can take weeks to months (or more) to have any noticeable effect.
But from the mechanics of the capsules to the price per daily dose, they're pretty good.

What is it for, one might wonder? Well, I removed the guesswork by doing my own research about the possible virtues of this supplement...so that you don't have to. (Read on...)
Based upon the "Slim Fast" brand name, this is a product that is assumed to offer weight-loss benefits. I had done a bit of research in order to substantiate my hunch and learn about some studies in which people who had taken Berberine and had lost weight, belly fat and lowered their body mass index. (It has also been suggested that Berberine can be helpful in lowering C-reactive protein, a marker of inflammation...another side bonus!) Chromium Picolinate and Alpha Lipoic Acid are additional ingredients contained within this supplement and are rumored to support weight loss as well. The last listed ingredient, Cinnamon Bark, is utilized as a sweetener to help people cut back on their sugar intake.
So, as you can assess; this product does have its share of probable weight reduction virtues; just be sure to check with your doctor regarding any possible side affects when taking alongside prescription medications.
