Writing is a socially acceptable form of schizophrenia. - E.L. Doctorow
Scottish traveller looking for adventure in all the wrong places. Working for The Man in order to fuel a lifestyle of constant trips to never-before-seen places, writing research and food. Enjoys gentle petting, furry things and, well, more food. Handle with care.
There's nothing to writing. All you do is sit down at a typewriter and open a vein. - Walter Wellesley "Red" Smith
Life is yet another work in progress. Funnily enough, so is the novel that I'm writing.
This journal will be used to chart the process of putting together a novel, from research to piecing together chapters, to revision, to eventual submission. Everything will be open and available for public consumption unless it contains specifics (such as names or fragments of chapters) in which case, those details will be under a cut.
I try to leave out the parts that people skip. - Elmore Leonard
The friending policy is as follows: if you're not a random bot or blank journal, you're in. I only unlock actual fragments of the novel to people I know well. If you have an LJ username that is different from your DW username then please let me know in case I know you over there.
