I'm a happily employed professional librarian, working in Special Collections and the Digital Library at my institution. My primary interests are reading, writing, and being a geek of various sorts (see interests below for details).

I also like to pretend I'm British by drinking copious amounts of tea and spelling things the British way because it's cooler. Much to my chagrin, I cannot do an accent to save my life.

New friends are always welcome if my rambling insanities appeal to you. :) I love people who comment on my entries, so I can get to know you, but lurkers are definitely welcome, too. I don't usually friend back unless you comment, though. And if I defriend, it's most likely due to a lack of comments. You're more than welcome to keep lurking, or leave a comment to have me friend you back. :)

Fannish things I do: I write fic, I record podfic, and of course I read and listen to both. I'm an archivist at [personal profile] general_jinjur's [audiofic archive] and I mod [profile] merlinpodfic & [profile] gleepodfic. And sometimes I do volunteer work for OTW.

My fanfic journal:

"Stars are beautiful, but they may not take an active part in anything, they must just look on for ever. It is a punishment put on them for something they did so long ago that no star now knows what it was. So the older ones have become glassy-eyed and seldom speak (winking is the star language), but the little ones still wonder." ~ from Peter Pan, by J.M. Barrie
