Hola! Bienvenidos, mi casa es su casa.
My name is Ardith, Ardy is.... ok for some people, White Mage is fine, so is Elizabeth (WoW battletag, Tanaris server, main is Druishprincess with Renevatio).
I have a dual academic background in biochemistry and psychology, with some other niche nerdy interests thrown in. I work as a bakery assistant and office lackey at a local catering company, who operates out of a nifty 1930s stonemill refurbished into an event venue. It was a long and strange trip getting here, but I couldn't be happier.
Home is smack between a small rural town and mid sized university town in Southern Indiana, surrounded by corn fields on two sides and cows across the road. I live with cats, plants, a teen gamer son and a husband who is a full time minister. As much as lies in me, I try to live peaceably with everyone (Romans 12:18). I will talk frankly about church work and my religious life as a Christian from time to time. Most of it is focused on increasing charity work, community outreach and support, and my ever-evolving personal faith practice.
I talk about baking and sewing, and daily life. Baking in particular is important to me, as I have a casein allergy and had to go dairy free in 2016. Since then I've been working on dairy free (but not always vegan, sorry) versions of my favorite foods, and I've gained an interest in food science and how ingredients can be swapped to create functional low allergen versions of dishes.
If none of that interests you, don't worry! I also tend to attract more "weird" experiences than a waifish YA protag princess and tend to very saltily convey them for others' amusement. Here's to things calming down as I hurtle towards my 40s?
