So many of my friends had livejournals I decided it was time for me to make one.

Since then I've found that it's so much harder to keep in touch with people not on LJ that I keep trying to corrupt more people into joining.

And since then my social circle has become sufficiently supersaturated that LJ is like drinking from the firehose and a very very bad way of getting specific information to me. For anything important, email.

What am I? Uh, wannabe techie (the tech support for a particular software system doesn't count); spicy rennfestie fannish chick. Fringe on all manner of stuff. Dancer. Singer.

One comment about friending and suchlike: The whole term of a "friendslist" is difficult, as it encompasses "people I find interesting to read""people I know in real life and may or may not find interesting to read""people who I want to look and see if I find interesting" etc. I'm not very good about filtering what I read, so I can quickly get overwhelmed by too many people posting. So I'm kinda slow to friend people if I can read them through someone else's pages.

The vast majority of what I write is public, so you're not missing much :)

Please, though: If you know me real life and you unfriend me, do tell me why. I'd like to know whether it's b/c I post too freaking much or I've offended you, ya see?
