At its fifty-ninth session, in 2026, the Commission mandated Working Group I to consider targeted updates to the UNCITRAL Model Law on Public Procurement and related texts (the Guide to Enactment of the UNCITRAL Model Law on Public Procurement (2012), the Guidance on Procurement Regulations (2013) and the Glossary (2013)).
The Commission agreed that the targeted updates should be based on the topics identified in A/CN.9/1257 and considering the views expressed in the Commission at its fifty-ninth session (see A/81/17, paras. 221-226).
