New publication Technical Guide 18: Integral Bridges Design Guidance is now available to buy. The purpose of this document is to provide guidance on design considerations for integral bridge structures based on UK national guidance. Design of integral bridges is to be undertaken in accordance with the appropriate Eurocodes, generally a combination of BS EN 1990 – BS EN 1994 and BS EN 1997. PD 6691-1 was developed in the UK in the absence of specific design requirements being outlined in the Eurocodes for integral bridges. This document sets out UK recommendations for structures subject to traffic loading to BS EN 1997 which affects substructures foundations and other highway structures subject to a combination of soil and traffic loading. TG18 is a valuable reference for those involved in bridge design and assessment. Price: CBDG members £52.50, non-members £75 Ready to get your copy?
