HARD SERVICES · CRITICAL POWER → Hyperscale operations run on the electrical infrastructure supplying the site. That includes the substation. A hyperscale data centre in the region appointed our engineering team to operate its 132 kV substation. → Nine engineering colleagues on site, 24/7 operations control → Alignment with national utility codes and regulator competency requirements → Predictive and preventive maintenance across HV, MV, HVAC and mechanical systems → Permit-to-work discipline, incident response and configuration control Regulatory assurance from energisation through to steady state. Contract WIN → OCS India has started delivering engineering services for a leading private university in Uttar Pradesh. A university campus operates much like a small city. Lecture blocks, laboratories, hostels and shared spaces all depend on reliable engineering systems. Maintaining these assets supports uninterrupted learning, safer facilities and a consistent experience for students and faculty throughout the academic year. The new contract includes: → 178 colleagues deployed on site. → Engineering services across the campus estate. → Dedicated support throughout the academic calendar. During the initial months, our team will focus on understanding the estate, assessing asset performance and establishing effective maintenance routines. This will provide the university with greater operational oversight and a dependable engineering team on site every day. For universities managing complex and highly occupied estates, the right engineering partner can help improve asset reliability, manage operational risk and maintain an environment where students and faculty can perform at their best. This Independence Day, we celebrate freedom and the people behind scenes who keep it running. As India marks 80 years of independence, we want to recognise the colleagues who rarely take centre stage, yet make everyday life possible. They are the ones who: ✅ Arrive before the lights come on ✅ Keep airports moving and hospitals safe ✅ Get campuses and workplaces ready, every shift ✅ Take pride in work that often goes unseen To our frontline colleagues across India, thank you. Your dedication and care are the foundation of everything we do. This Independence Day, we salute you. 🙏 Here's to making people and places the best they can be. Manoj J. India will run 600 million passenger journeys a year by 2030. Eleven more airports are moving through the third round of privatisation. The terminals are being built. The question airport operators are now asking is who can be trusted to keep them running. For years, FM selection in Indian aviation was a headcount conversation. How many people can you deploy, and at what rate. That conversation has changed. Private operators are buying outcomes, not deployment. Their revenue depends on assets staying available: boarding bridges, baggage handling, screening systems, building services. When one of those fails, the operator feels it before the passenger does. What airport operators are now weighing up: → Can the partner run engineering systems, not just staff them → Is the accountability held in one place, or split across vendors → Does the team stay on site, or arrive when something breaks → Can they be fielded at the scale an airport actually demands Sunil Parate, Senior Vice President, Aviation at OCS Group India, has spent 37 years in the sector, including time on the authority side. "Successful airport operations rely on service partners who deliver contracted outcomes safely, efficiently, and with 100% operational uptime". The trust gap is the distance between what an airport needs its FM partner to own, and what most FM partners are set up to deliver. Closing it takes engineering depth, not more people. Sunil covers this in more detail, including what the next wave of privatisation will demand from FM partners. HARD SERVICES · MOBILISATION → The first 90 days of a hard services contract set the operating rhythm for the next five years. A global data centre operator in the region moved from a fragmented multi-vendor setup to an integrated model on a 22,500 sqm, 104 MW Tier III campus. → One-month mobilisation, with no disruption to live operations → CMMS live from day one, with customer access to the same asset view → Single point of engineering accountability replacing multiple vendor interfaces → Reactive workload measurably reduced within the first quarter Mobilisation, done properly, is a saving felt every month afterwards. TRUE Story → Colleagues at our Mumbai site were recognised for the work they do on site every day. They then spoke about their own experience of working at the site, in their own words, and the room listened. What gets raised in a session like this shapes how the site runs the following week. Thank you to every frontline colleague across our sites for the work you do. Manoj J. Aviation Insight → The real transformation at India's airports isn't the one passengers see. Over the last decade, Indian airports have shifted from transport infrastructure to commercial, customer-centric businesses. The visible result is a smoother passenger journey. The deeper change is in how airports are run behind the scenes, and what that now demands from a facilities management partner. Sunil Parate, Senior Vice President, Aviation at OCS Group India, draws on 37 years in the sector to explain the shift: → From manpower to outcomes. Airport FM has moved through three stages: paying for the number of people supplied, comprehensive maintenance contracts, and today's outcome-based model. The customer specifies the result; the FM partner decides how to manage the assets and how many people to deploy. SLAs and KPIs are measured, not headcount. → Engineering most people never see. Baggage handling systems, aerobridges, cooling, power backup, CUTE and CUSS platforms are engineering ecosystems in their own right. When 15 airports run under a single integrated operating model, the data they generate becomes central to performance. → Technology and people, applied intelligently. In the current phase, the working balance sits at roughly 70 per cent technology and 30 per cent people, applied across assets rather than as a blanket rule. → From contractor to business partner. If the FM partner fails, the operator fails. That is why the relationship has moved from a vendor arrangement to a genuine partnership. • TRUE Story → Behind every smooth customer visit is a team that prepares for it long before anyone arrives. Ahead of an important visit, our MST and Housekeeping colleagues worked through the weekend to make sure every detail was in place and every standard was met. Their care, precision, and readiness to do whatever it took made the difference between a good visit and a seamless one. That level of ownership, focus, and consistency is what our TRUE Values look like in practice. To the team, thank you for showing what it means to be at your best, every single day. #WeAreOCS #TRUEValues #ToBeYourBest #Teamwork #OCSIndia

  • Strong customer relationships start with people who are backed to grow. Key Account Managers came together at our Head Office for the Train the Trainer, KAM Excellence Program, part of an ongoing investment in leadership development across OCS India. It was an interactive, practical session focused on the skills that shape everyday service: → Professional behaviour → Customer management → Effective communication → Leadership excellence Through shared experience and real situations, colleagues strengthened the way they lead teams and support the customers who rely on them, so service stays consistent, responsive and reliable. When our people grow, our customers feel the difference. #WeAreOCS #TRUEValues #OCSIndia #tobeyourbest
