VAT Review is now available in early access, and it is free to try on unlimited clients until the end of August. Most VAT reviews are either a skim of an Excel list, or a sample of the highest value transactions with the risk accepted on the rest. VAT Review in Mimo Associate checks all of them. It runs every transaction in the period against the invoice, the historical coding, and current HMRC rules, then surfaces only what disagrees with one of the three, with the reasoning and the source attached. Payment Processing Software
Mimo runs accounting delivery as a single system, not a set of disconnected tasks. With Mimo Associate, month-end work is executed end to end, maintaining client context across periods and automating collection, coding, reconciliation, adjustments and review continuously. Accountants remain in control, focusing on judgement and decisions. The result is faster closes, more capacity and advice that arrives in time to matter.

Yes, it was a good day. And it's also a good time to join! We're hiring across GTM, product and engineering, and whoever comes on now gets a real hand in where Mimo goes next. We're using AI to make a real difference to how accountants handle the financial close. If you're someone who wants to help build that and bring real value to our product, we'd love to hear from you. Open roles in the comments, or just say hi.

The time off you book in August is the same days you spend half-checking your phone. Everyone in this industry knows the feeling. You are the one who knows how that client's close runs, so being away never quite means being away. And whoever covers for you knows the other side of it: holding things together with a handover doc and hoping nothing unusual comes up before you are back. It's one of the problems we're building Mimo to take off your plate. When a client's close isn't held together by one person, the team can carry it between them, and being away can just mean being away.

The old path into accountancy was slow by design. Years of prep work before anyone let you near the thinking. Now that path is getting shorter. For Ryecroft Glenton, Mimo Associate takes the manual prep off the desk, which frees people earlier in their careers to spend time where it actually builds them: closer to the analysis and the client. The exposure that used to come after years is arriving sooner, which means the accountant qualifying now is growing into a bigger role, faster than the generation before them. Same profession, but a very different starting point. We'd argue a bit more exciting, too.

Aged Debtor / Creditor Reconciliation with Mimo Associate. Get an aged AR/AP report per contact, ranked by severity, with a clear next step attached: chase, hold, or write off on the debtor side, confirm the liability on the creditor side. Underneath, the agent rebuilds the Xero aged report row by row and weighs each contact against their own payment history (because a chronic 60-day payer is not chased the same way as a contact who has genuinely gone quiet). Settlements received after period end are netted off automatically, and invoices paid but never matched against the ledger are flagged before they reach a chase list. In short: less time doing, more time reviewing.

We're approaching peak out-of-office season and some auto-replies are more honest than others. And behind most of them there is a client whose close depends on one person. Not because the team is not good enough, but because the knowledge about that client only lives in one head. The rest of the year nobody notices. It shows the moment the auto-reply switches on mid-close. If yours needs a paragraph explaining who knows what while you are away, the knowledge is sitting in the wrong place. What does yours say this summer?

Dominic Busby MAAT joined Mimo as Head of Customer Success the other week, and by Wednesday he was on the stand at Xerocon, meeting the firms he'll be working closely with from now on. He's not the first person to start at Mimo and find himself at a trade show the following week. Seems to be a working strategy so far! AI was rightly top of mind, and the interest was real. So was the question underneath it: what actually holds up once it meets a live financial close. That's the right question to ask. The close is where the pressure sits, and where too much skilled time still goes on manual work. That's what we're building Mimo to take on, so firms can put their hours into the judgement only they can bring. It was good to see people step out of the day-to-day for a couple of days and look up. Thanks to everyone who came by the stand for a chat and made it two great days.

Right now in Sweden, most offices are half-empty. People head out to their summer houses, email goes quiet, and very little moves until August. July in the UK reads differently. Today we're heading into day two of #Xerocon and the energy at Olympia is anything but slow! The evening before the doors opened, we gathered a table of friends of Mimo, for a proper catch-up before a busy few days and a well-earned summer break. Thank you to everyone who joined us. A good way to kick off the week. #Xeroconlondon #Xerocon2026
