Updates

  • We just had to share this. 👏 21 hours 40 minutes. One critical mission. Zero margin for error. The Biocair Operations Team recently completed an urgent donor blood sample shipment from London to Verona within a strict 24-hour viability window. Missing the deadline would have rendered the samples unviable for analysis, making every stage of the journey critical. Here's how the mission unfolded: 🩸 13:00 (Day 1): Samples collected in London  ✈️ 22:35 (Day 1): On-Board Courier (OBC) delivery completed at Milan Malpensa Airport (MXP)  📋 Overnight: Out-of-hours customs clearance completed, ensuring immediate onward dispatch  📦 10:40 (Day 2): Samples delivered in Verona, comfortably within the required timeframe This success was made possible through exceptional collaboration between our UK and German teams. A special thank you to Gracie Watkin, Bernard L., Ish Malik, and Annika Wittner, whose expertise, dedication, and seamless coordination under pressure ensured flawless execution from start to finish. This is what happens when global teams come together to solve complex logistics challenges and support critical scientific research. #TeamBiocair

  • When shipping temperature-sensitive materials, confidence starts at collection. We're delighted to receive this feedback from a US-based customer: "I appreciate the 1-2-1 interaction at pick-up, I personally see the material go into the shipping container at the correct temperature and know it will arrive in same condition." Delivering confidence through specialist handling, temperature control and dedicated support is central to what we do. • What role does Procurement play in creating a more sustainable future? The reality is that some of the biggest opportunities to drive positive environmental and social impact sit within the supply chain. In Episode 2 of Sustainability Unpacked, our ESG & Ethics Specialist, Priya Natarajan, is joined by Henry James, Head of Global Procurement and Supplier Management, to explore how procurement is helping shape a more sustainable future for Biocair, our customers, and our wider supplier network. • Uncertainty is one of the biggest risks in life sciences logistics. Not knowing where a shipment is, its status, or what happens next can delay decisions and increase exposure. Biocair Connect provides visibility across every stage of the shipment journey, from booking and documentation to tracking and updates. Clear information supports faster responses and more informed decisions. 🔍 Explore how visibility reduces risk at https://hubs.li/Q04syy630

  • To our colleagues, customers and partners in South Africa, Happy National Women's Day! This day commemorates the historic 1956 Women's March, when more than 20,000 women came together to stand up for equality and justice. Their legacy continues to inspire acts of courage, leadership and community today. When we asked our South African colleagues what qualities they admire most in the women who inspire them at work, three themes stood out: 💚 Courage 💚 Support & care 💚 Authenticity These qualities not only honour the legacy of the women who marched in 1956, but also reflect the values that strengthen our teams every day. We are proud to celebrate the incredible women across Biocair whose expertise, leadership and support help our people, culture and mission thrive.
