Hi everyone! It's been a scorching couple of weeks and as temperatures continue to rise, it's a particularly difficult time for those sleeping out or in unstable situations. In order to do our best to keep our guests as comfortable as possible outside and to create a pleasant space in the centre to have a cuppa and a chat, we are asking for the following donations! What a week! ✨ It’s been one of those weeks where the diary has been packed, the coffee consumption has definitely increased, and every day has brought something different. All while trying not to melt in London's 35°C heat! ☀️🥵 Tuesday was spent volunteering at Ace of Clubs, Clapham which was a great opportunity to give back and support the amazing work they do for the homeless and vulnerable community. Truly inspiring to see the work they do and how they make such a huge difference. Proud of the little team of us that were part of such a big day Francesca Stainer Cassie Fitzsimmons Karen Ho Frankie Phillips Wednesday was all about connections at The Meeting Show at Excel London. It was fantastic to catch up with familiar faces, meet plenty of new people, and exchange ideas with so many passionate professionals across the industry. The day was topped off with a lovely dinner hosted by Pearl DMC Collection at The Londoner where the conversations (and laughter!) continued long after the exhibition floor closed. Then it was back for Day 2 of The Meetings Show today, with even more networking, panel talks, learning, and relationship-building. Now, I’m ready to swap the exhibition halls for our Sleek Events company offsite next week, which I’m really looking forward to. Thank you so much to everyone who visited our centre for at our Open Day last month! Around 60 people attended for tours, cake and produce from our garden. We really enjoyed sharing the impact we make on the ground to people experiencing homelessness here on St Alphonsus road. We also have 17 pots of honey from our very own hives left, please call us if you're interested!
