BASIC INSTRUCTIONS:

2. Characters: Choose fanfiction, fanart, or both!


3. Relationships: Choose your characters and/or relationships (1-20 per request; 1-20 per offer)


4. Additional Tags: Choose your freeforms! (2-20 per request/offer)


5. Letter URL: Link to your Dear Trauma Exchange Creator letter here (optional)


6. Optional Details: Add request information for your gift creator here, such as a likes list, some prompts, or just talking about what you like about the canon & characters and would like to see in your gift. DNWs must be in your signup to be enforceable–bear in mind these cannot be used to box your gift creator into creating a very specific scenario.

Remember: there's a known bug that means not all nominated tags will appear in the dropdown! If you encounter this, copy and paste the tag straight from the tagset and it should work.

There is also an error with AO3 not allowing some tags from the tagset be used in sigh-ups. If you encounter this, shoot us an email and we will fix it.


Repeating Fandoms In Requests & Offers:
→ You are welcome to request only one fandom, but remember: you are only guaranteed a gift if you have three unique fandom requests. In order to be guaranteed a gift, you must request a minimum of three different fandoms.
→ You only need one offer, but can offer the same fandom more than once to include different characters/groups/freeforms.
→ However, please remember that if you only offer one fandom and are not matchable by the end of sign-ups closing, you will be asked to add more within 24 hours, or your sign-up will be deleted.


DNWs:
→ If you have any dealbreaking Do Not Wants, please include them in your Optional Details. They will only be enforced if they are put in your Optional Details.
→ Only reasonable DNWs included in your signup can be enforced. Please bear in mind that DNWs cannot be used to box your creator into producing a very specific work. Please only list items you do not wish to see it your gift.


Multiple Signups:
→ Participants may sign up with a maximum of two accounts each.
→ If you sign up with two accounts, please bear in mind you will be expected to: 1) produce at least one fanwork per signup, and 2) arrange your requests/offers to ensure that you cannot match with yourself.
→ Please sock responsibly!


Offers:
→ You may have 1-10 offers. If you are unmatchable, you will be asked to add more offers. If you don’t do it within the specified time, or you cannot add more, your signup will be deleted.
→ It’s a good idea to take another look at the requests just before the signups close, to double-check that you are going to match with at least one person. Remember, you need to match on fandom, pairing, AND one freeform tag.
→ You don’t have to write for the exact prompt you matched on—you just need to fulfill one of your recipient’s requests.


Matching:
→ You will be matched on one fandom AND one pairing AND one freeform tag AND one medium (fanfiction or fanart).
→ If your requests are unmatchable, you will go out as an initial pinch hit.
→ If your offers are unmatchable, we will contact you and ask you to add more. If you don’t respond within 24 hours, your signup will be deleted.
