Raine: I suppose so. It certainly isn't the sort of place the average tourist would spend an evening.
Lloyd: It's not?
Raine: Far from it, Lloyd. This is quite the luxury, by anyone's standards. The only people staying here are very wealthy, or those with ample cause for celebration.
Lloyd: Celebration? Like what?
Raine: A honeymoon readily comes to mind.
Lloyd: Oh, riiiight.
Raine: ...
Lloyd: .......... So, um, do you think you'll ever marry, Professor?
Raine: Who can say? I suppose that depends on whom I fall in love with.
Lloyd: How do you mean?
Raine: I'm a half-elf. Any potential partner would have to be the same, or someone open to such an arrangement. Consider that my life expectancy is considerably longer than that of a human's.
Lloyd: Well, how old are you now?
Raine: Never ask a woman that. And 23.
Lloyd: Oh.
Raine: So I have a very long time ahead of me.
