[ Bucky's patrolling, not really on beat, but it helps keep his mind busy if he at least checks out some of the apartment blocks. Which is why he's moving down the corridor Pepper now lives on. The door's open, and he's a naturally suspicious guy, so he approaches it.

There are boxes. That's mostly what he can tell, so he knocks the door frame twice, calls in. ] Hello, anyone in? You've left your door open.

[ It had been quite a busy day for Pepper. Tony had lent her some money to get started, so she'd taken the day to go out and get the essentials for her new apartment: first of all clothes (there's no way she's going to suffer through this wacko place with only one pair of Louboutins), bedding, dishes, toiletries, and a bookshelf because for some reason the place didn't come with one.

It's that which she is sitting in the middle of her living room, struggling to put together now, and failing somewhat spectacularly. Tony is the one good with his hands. Pepper is good with appointments and paperwork, not stuff like this. So she didn't notice she'd left her door open until a stranger poked his head in. Though perhaps not a real stranger; Pepper recognized him from her device. ]

Ugh, I'm so sorry. I've got a million things going on, I didn't realize...

Bucky, right? Please, come in.

Yes, ma'am. [ He's a little relieved to see someone hasn't been brutally murdered, so he takes a step in, looks at the chaos around him with a quick eye.

[ Howard thinks he's got the right place, spinning around as he tries to locate the beautiful redhead. ]

[ Pepper stands in line at the counter, ordering a caramel macchiato and a croissant. She sees Howard looking for her and raises her hand to get his attention, silently praying to whatever deities are listening that this "date-that-most-definitely-ISN'T-a-date" doesn't go horribly wrong. ]

[ Howard grins as he finally spots her through the cowards, enthusiastically bounces over, and joins her in the queue, charmingly adding a black coffee without the frills to the order, handing over the money for both. ]
