twoleftpaws.livejournal.com[Not far from the cabin stands what had once been a beautiful apple tree. With fall coming to an end and winter just around the corner, the tree looks pretty much empty except for one lone apple hanging from a the highest branch and man it's a beauty. The only problem is it's all the way up there and the meerkat who wants it is all the way on the ground. It seems impossible for a creature his size to reach but he looks pretty determent. He starts jumping.
See meerkat. See meerkat jump. Jump meerkat, jump!
Jumping doesn't seem to get him very far, and he's not a very good climber; if he were to go up there how would he get down? He rubs his chin thoughtfully. What if he tried knocking it down? He looks down at the small rocks at his feet and begins tossing them at the apple. However, his throw is not only off, it's pretty weak as well. The rocks barely make it a foot in the air - and falls down on his head.]
Ow! [He's going to have to come up with something else...
He looks around for anything else he might be able to use and suddenly he's met with an idea. He sets to work and in a matter of minutes he's made his own slingshot! Ha-ha! Success! At least, he hopes. He carefully takes aim and shoots, the rock just missing and hitting the tree instead. It bounces off and threatens to hit anyone who passes by.]
