Things that are making me happy today
Jun. 3rd, 2008 06:02 pmMy sister is home for a few days before heading out of the country to do more research for her thesis. I'll be taking care of her cat while she's gone, which should be nice. I've been missing Cody more than ever over the last few weeks, so it will be good to have a pet around.

Why I'm not completely coherent today
Dec. 22nd, 2007 04:09 pmMaisie the cat is nocturnal. I got home from work around 11:30 last night and Maisie insisted that I stay up and entertain her. She is the sweetest thing in the mornings and afternoons, but at night she's running in circles and swatting at your face if you make the mistake of falling asleep.
I'm a dog person, so the opportunity to watch a cat has been fascinating. Now the lines from the Siamese cat song from "Lady and the Tramp" are really starting to make sense.
Also, ever since my vegetarian sister arrived, I've been craving red meat. It doesn't exactly make sense to me since I tend to stick with the vegetarian diet when she's not around with the occasional chicken or seafood. So it's been two weeks and we haven't had a single meal together. That may change today as she's making roasted rosemary potatoes from a recipe I found.

Kyle needs a shave
