Synecdoche is a figure of speech that uses a term for a part of something to refer to the whole, or vice versa. The term is derived from Ancient Greek συνεκδοχή, 'simultaneous understanding'.

We're the Synecdoche system. You can call us Syn (he/him or they/them) to refer to the whole, or you can refer to specific members. I vary between using plural or singular pronouns for myself, even when more than one of us is contributing, so you'll see a mix between "I" and "we" happening most of the time. The purpose of this journal is to consolidate & log our memories, and to give us somewhere to chat with other plural/multiple systems. Check our sticky for more info.
