General background: 
I work in the renewable energy industry. Here is part of the reason that I'm doing this.

Views expressed here are my own and do not necessarily represent those of anybody else. I tend to write things from memory. Unless I have cited a source for something, please do not rely on it or cite me as an authoritative source.

• If you know me well, ask for access to private posts. I want you to read, and it's not hard. If you're here from LJ, setting things up to comment and get notifications of comments really is quite easy. If you're not from LJ, it's still pretty easy. See here, or ask me.
• If you don't know me quite so well, feel free to ask, but please don't be offended if I say no. I'm being fairly choosy about who I grant access to, so it's not something that should be taken personally. Most of my posts are public anyway.
• If you want to contact me directly, I prefer email to private messages / facebook / carrier pidgeons. I'm on [email protected], and I love getting mail :-)


• Photos are generally on my Flickr account.


• Good photos are often on Alamy.
