Manage ID or video verification in your Google Account

If you've completed ID or video verification to access advanced YouTube features, you can delete your verification at any time.

Once your channel history is established, your verification is automatically deleted. This can take a few months or up to 2 years. If you don't use advanced features within a year, it's also deleted.

Important: If you remove your video verification or valid ID before you establish your channel history, you'll lose access to advanced features. To regain access, you’ll need to build your YouTube channel history or complete verification again.

Delete an ID

  1. In your Google Account, go to the Identity document section.
  2. Select Delete Delete and then Delete.
Your ID will be deleted from your Google Account. However, if you’re suspended from YouTube for violating our policies, we may save your ID for a period of time so that we can enforce our policies.
