| Name: | Blanca Snow {Snow White} |
|---|

The story of Snow White is well known. Her mother, a queen, pricked her finger while sewing one day, and wished for a child with lips red as blood, skin white as snow, and hair black as ebony. Shortly after, she gave birth to such a daughter and died in the endeavor. Named Snow White, her father, the king, soon married an evil and vain witch with a magic mirror that spoke only truth. When she would ask "Mirror, Mirror, on the wall, who's the fairest of them all?" the mirror would answer "You, my queen."
That is, until Snow White came along.
When the mirror prophesied that, one day, Snow White would become more fair, Ravenna the queen had her imprisoned...until her eighteenth birthday, when the mirror declared that, in consuming her heart, Ravenna would become eternally young and live forever.
When Snow escaped, the queen sent her armies to find the girl, as well as a huntsman known for having survived the Dark Forest, a region her powers could not reach. Meanwhile, Snow White soon lost herself in the woods, but soon found rescue with a band of dwarves who showed her a path into the sanctuary of the fae. Hoping to claim her as their own and have their way with her, a faerie lord declared that she was a source of untold magic that would one day bring the fall of Ravenna, so great was her purity of spirit and form. Hoping to enlist the aid of the dwarves and protect her from harm, he declared that to sully her virtue would be to rob her of all worth.
Into the care of the dwarves she was given, a band of performers who worked as miners in the off-season. To stay constantly moving, Snow travels with their little carnival, cooking and cleaning to earn her keep, and later dancing for money though she was not hired out as some of the girls were. In her travels, she earned the friendship of Eric the Hunstman, a lost soul she shielded from harm when the dwarves would have killed him over a gambling debt. Moved to pity by his pain, she is his only real friend, and holds a special place in her heart for him.
