Me ... the Starbuck
Well, I am a 27 year old female who studied History and German Literature & Philology and is now teaching, or let my sister calls it "torturing kids". Well ... that's the reason why many of my entries are about work, students, colleagues .... the ususally stuff, I guess. Oh ... and I am from Vienna, the heart of Europe.
The TV & Movie Addiction
Yes, I am a TV Show junkie ... always have been. I started with Dr. Quinn (don't laugh), Pretender and X-Files towards JAG and Earth 2 and now it's: Private Practice, Grey's Anatomy, Bones, House, Law and Order: SUV and *new* Rizzoli & Isles. I wouldn't be a good addict if I'd like every couple - no way! - I only go for: Derek/Addison, Booth/Bones, Olivia/Eliott, Cuddy/ House. Oh ... and I love Mer-torture. My fav actors/actresses are Catherine Deneuve, Katherine Hepburn, Spencer Tracy, Rock Hudson, Cary Grant, George Clooney, Meryl Streep, Robert Redford, Kirsten Scott-Thomas, Helen Mirren, Glen Close, Michelle Pfeiffer, Brad Pitt and Isabelle Huppert, Patrick Dempsey, Kate Walsh.
Books ... the passion of the night
I love reading!! I love books!! I am a collector! Well maybe that's one of the reasons I chose my job - for the summer break to read ;) I mostly read crime novels but also classics and some trash. My favorites are Kathy Reichs, Val McDermid, Karin Slaughter, Tess Gerritsen, Alex Kava, Hilary Norman, Mo Hayder and Cody McFadyen - on the crime side, with classics it's Edith Wharton, Walt Whitman, Theodor Storm, Theodor Fontane, Jane Austen, Emily Bronte, Chloderlos de Laclos, Nathanial Hawthorne, Friedrich Schiller, Arthur Schnitzler and Colette.
