procrastinating my other stuff
Jan. 2nd, 2019 05:37 pm— so, uh, have another quick snippet of the taz/cr crossover I'm trying to work out.
“It’s fascinating, but also kind of annoying, in this case,” Lup says, wrinkling her nose.
Vex raises a brow. Annoying, sure, but fascinating? That’s an odd choice of words. “I’m hoping that once we eliminate the Briarwoods, they’ll be easier to dispatch and less endless. They’re probably controlling them all.”
“That’s possible,” Barry agrees thoughtfully. “I wish Merle was here. Divinity is pretty— pretty good against them.”
Right, Vex thinks. This crew's cleric, one of the only two of their group who wasn't a wizard. She remembers meeting him on the ship, a strangely laidback dwarf who was just as odd as the rest of them. She's also reminded that Pike would be a key ally in this fight if she weren’t busy elsewhere, which is less of an amusing thought and more of an unfortunate one.
Taako, however, shakes his head with near-frantic fervor. “There’s a big ol’ tree in the center of town. I don’t know about you, but, uh, I could go — I could deffo go without putting him near that. I could deffo go without ever seeing that, ever? Ever.”
