Vex raises a brow. Annoying, sure, but fascinating? That’s an odd choice of words. “I’m hoping that once we eliminate the Briarwoods, they’ll be easier to dispatch and less endless. They’re probably controlling them all.”

“That’s possible,” Barry agrees thoughtfully. “I wish Merle was here. Divinity is pretty— pretty good against them.”

Right, Vex thinks. This crew's cleric, one of the only two of their group who wasn't a wizard. She remembers meeting him on the ship, a strangely laidback dwarf who was just as odd as the rest of them. She's also reminded that Pike would be a key ally in this fight if she weren’t busy elsewhere, which is less of an amusing thought and more of an unfortunate one.

Taako, however, shakes his head with near-frantic fervor. “There’s a big ol’ tree in the center of town. I don’t know about you, but, uh, I could go — I could deffo go without putting him near that. I could deffo go without ever seeing that, ever? Ever.”

rip leaking, though since it started leaking into the first floor (probably mostly bc it was dripping on his weird golf practice... thing), dad finally decided to get it fixed by people who Know What They're Doing.

it was pretty funny tbh, I thought my sister was making noise on one side of the house, but then she yelled something from the other side, so I went to investigate the source of the noise, and lo and behold there was a drooping boob shape as the paint slumped off the ceiling from the weight of the water and dripped it onto the ground. it was hilarious and my did poked it with a scissor to let out its water and then it shriveled up a bit lmao.

I shouldve known something was up bc I was hearing a double-drip at night (the dripping through the floor into the bottom floor, I didn't know) when there's normally just the bath dripping, but I just thought the problem was accelerating. which. it was, just not the way I thought it was, haha.

hey so, first, Scanlan tore my heart right out — mostly by agonizing the rest of the team — and also destroyed some uhh things I always assumed, which is that info can be shared out of scene and that he cared? I'm mildly upset with him but anyway w/e it's Scanlan, I'm never happy with him anyway, he was okayish on the way to improving and now I'm just wow thanks okay! have a good retirement I guess! enjoy!

it was super awkward and I'm not a fan of things like that but hey. it's lifelike. that's admirable in its own right. and I can't say I admire the changes and acknowledgements it forced out of all the characters. like. damn.

BUT ON ANOTHER NOTE:

well! I'm surprised they didn't murder him!

(now I understand truly what people meant when they said Sam was a chaotic entity lmao. the players' reaction was priceless so I deffo have that to thank him for ajshdgfkajdsdjhf)

I hate that he's pushing all the right buttons (for me AND for the team, jfc) and made me cackle and I hate him! I loathe him! I hecking adore him! he's stupid and I'm immediately fond of him and revolted all at once but most of all I hope he becomes more. wise? experienced? without ever losing that kind of — innocence about him. I hope that's what he gets out of sticking with the team! some wisdom about the world, some knowledge, while keeping some of that — that new glow about him.

it's endearing. and possibly the only reason I don't want to actually hurl him into the nine hells.

like on one hand I want Vex to stab him with an arrow because that seems like she's on that path and, listen, it would be the greatest, greatest, most hilarious thing. but also he is p funny and enjoyable. I hate that he's already growing on me. god. I'm so conflicted.

I'm making an entire post because I cannot hecking believe that Vex was in the goddamn bath during that conversation between Vax and Percy because oh my god that's beautiful and I laughed so hard I nearly cried. wow. I love these stupid dorks.

unfortunately not a single one of my presents will be delivered on time because none of my friends will be available until after the holidays, plus a couple are still being shipped, but! it's all good, I'll give it to them when I see them at some point later. reminds me of when my friend once gave me a birthday present that was a year and a half late, that was fun.

currently, I'm on episode 75 of critrole and utterly baffled by their horrible plans and also feeling very ehhhhh about the, uh, fire plane... culture. honestly idk how I'd toss the ipre into that mix. they'd want to stay out of that For Sure, I feel, with maybe 1 exception for documentation purposes. hm.

didn't get to watch critrole much today but tomorrow! I shall! if I don't get too distracted fjskdsdfajkh—

anyway! vorugal's dead, I still haven't finished my candlenights taz swap fic, and... well, I gotta hatch more eggs on pokémon go. furiously shaking my phone while watching another cr episode it is, for tonight!

hey I just finished episode 68 and I'm upset! I'm even more upset than at vex's death because they kept falling and getting up and falling and just teetering on that edge of survival and — they were so CLOSE and I'm distressed! about! Percy!

I hope that rogue kid tries to keep whisper and a part of me dearly, dearly hopes they rip him to shreds for it (but also not because he's a kid... but also yes because he stabbed Keyleth in the back when she was prone on the ground, and also because I'm very upset! but also he's just a kid. but also Percy's dead now so! someone's gotta take up those dark thoughts am I right!)

(to clarify: not really. I'm certain the kid will punish himself enough for it. but god am I frustrated and very disappointed in him.)

So, I’m halfway through episode 63 of critical role (the echo tree episode) and can I just say it’s a good thing the echo tree has audio issues or else it would’ve been the most perfect episode to exist and I would have been to spoiled to enjoy anything else but for now hEY HEY I’M WORRIED
