Appearance: There are two things most people notice about Kesley right off the bat. First is probably the horns, dark and curving backswept against her skull. Second is her size, she's short and thin, no more than 5 ft when you count in the horns and maybe 100 lbs soaking wet out of the bay. Her skull is hairless and in place of hair she has intricate tattoos where hair would normally be, even her eyebrows are tattooed. She's a tiefling, which means that someone in her familiy tree did the do with something fiendish, which in Kesley's case manifested in horns, a long hairless tail, eyes with yellow sclera and black irises, and an almost complete lack of body hair. She's not sure where the last one came from.
Abilities: Thaumaturgy: A minor spell that she can cast any number of times she wishes, which can do mostly just minor effects, making candles flicker, dim, or brighten, making a loud noise, cause an unlocked door or window to open or shut.
Darkness:Creates a 15 ft spehere of magical darkness that cannot be seen through. Can be "attached" to an object or point, at which point covering the item will cause the darkness to be blocked. She can do this once a day.
Hellish Rebuke:She points at a creature that recently (for the duration of the last fight) damaged her and they are wreathed in hellish flames that can kill someone that's not pretty tough. They can dodge the flames (make a DEX save) to take half damange. She can do this once per day.
(Optional) Personality: Kesley is snarky, blunt, and occasionally just straight out mean. She has an opinion and you will know what that opinion is. She's gotten through her life by being too pissed off to just give up, and she is not going to change that now. She's very intelligent, amazingly dextrous, and has the social skills of a rock through your window. She also does have morals, but if you speak such slander she is going to stab you somewhere soft and it will hurt. She's mostly loyal to the few people she can trust and will fight tooth and nail for them. Anyone else is subject to robbery and suspicion.
History: -Born Charity Tanner in the Dock Ward of Waterdeep in 1466 DR to Maikhail and Yevgeny Tanner. Born with horns, tail, yellow eyes to "normal" human parents, father accused mother of congress with demons, became abusive.
-At 10 years of age stabbed Maikhail after leaving a tavern drunk, guard believed it was due to drink and gambling
-At age 12 became a thief, hiding it from her mother for many years, squirreling money away and saying what she got was from odd jobs
-At age 18 told her mother she because a caravan guard as an excuse for her increased income and to explain time spent away from her mother's house among associates
-At some point in th next few years she is almost arrested by the Waterdeep Guard, one of which is Guard trainee Estone. She manages to get loose in such a way that Estone is kicked out of the trainee program. Sorry.
-Makes friends with Cheryn, Estone's mother. Ends up sleeping on her couch and training one of her kids how to pick locks
-Makes friends with Lenara when she lifts her spell pouch and then returns it, claiming it had been stolen by someone else. Look, talking to girls is hard, okay?
-What follows is a series of events that involved a runaway automaton, a few rooftop chases, many pie briberies, a drow pirate named Jarlaxle who was trying to steal a horde of treasure, the Open Lord of Waterdeep hiring the group to first find the stone that would lead to the treasure and later to find the treasure itself, a kobold with the most beautiful wife in the whole city, a poetry slam, and finally, a gold dragon that had ben living under Waterdeep for the gods only knew how long, guarding a ridiculously huge horde. Very long story very short, Kesley was killed after stabbing a drow in the taint (worth it) was brought back to life by her friends, and then they found a huge treasure and returned it to the Open Lord (since she was the one who had sent them after it) in return for sizeable rewards. Kesley did not go to the reward banquet, instead opting to go see her mother and do some shopping. She hasn't quite decided on what to do next when she wakes up in the Pierced Heart.
