I went to Connotations! It was really fun - I love fans, I love fans SO MUCH. There was some hilarity and I also got to go for a swim followed by a sauna and plunge pool, which I thoroughly recommend. Especially since jogging is currently Right Out, it was perfect. And there was hugging, and a free copy of Tooth and Claw by Jo Walton, and did I mention FANS? Aw yeah.

NCIS: spoilers up through 9.03 )

I missed Ada Lovelace Day, but I think this is a really lovely tribute. To you, all ladies who geek!

I leave you with the best vid ever. I don't think anyone in the vid show on Saturday night was left dry eyed at the end of it. *g*

I saw the new Harry Potter movie on...er... Sunday, and still haven't posted about it. So:

HP7 part 1 spoilers for anyone who cares about that sort of thing )

Psych )

Aaand the latest NCIS:

NCIS - Enemies Domestic )

And I am getting kind of excited about my Yuletide but sliiightly freaking over how to get the joy that is my canon down in fic form. OMG.
I have moved to the "talking sounds both painful and gross" stage of having a cold, and the news is all about how legal aid is being destroyed and also Prince William is getting married (THIRTEEN PAGES on this in the Telegraph today! THIRTEEN. Nobody's wedding needs 13 full pages of coverage, especially WHEN IT HASN'T EVEN HAD A DATE SET YET. anyway) so here is a post of some things which don't make me want to punch people.

NCIS )

VIOLIN COVER OF LADY GAGA, I AM SO TOTALLY, TOTALLY THERE.

They totally found bits of Richard II in a freaking box at the back of a storage room in the National Portrait Gallery. No really. (and we don't need arts funding because obviously no-one ever learned anything useful from looking through this stuff oh no right shutting up now)

Finally, I gave in and added The Middleman to my [livejournal.com profile] yuletide offers. I am both slightly bricking it and gleeful, as ever. Eee! I am probably going to be bouncing between excited and "oh my god the servers are going to die and it will be awful" from now til January, people, I warn you. *g*

Oh and also I want to pimp the Dark Agenda Yuletide challenge, because even if you don't sign up officially, it's a way of raising the profile of a bunch of characters who otherwise get easily overlooked by white fandom.

Also:

the latest Doctor Who )

...wow, my abuse of the shift key seems to get exponentially worse as I get tireder, sorry about that. Anyway, other stuff.

It's Stephen Colbert's birthday, and I just discovered he and Hugh Laurie have major love, and it's adorable. My geeky objects of affection liking each other is such a good thing in my world. :D

People wanting new-Prime-Minister-finds-out-about-Ministry-for-Magic fic - which I accept is not all of you, despite this occasionally confusing me :) - should check out HERE, because it is awesome. No, really, more awesome than that.

(This is useful as it helps take my mind off the fact our new Equalities Minister doesn't think I should have rights, and also rich white dudes are an even bigger percentage of government than before.)

I meant to link to the XKCD colour survey results before but forgot. I have now, though, because I genuinely find them kind of fascinating.

How are you lot?
Traditional geek update:

NCIS - Mother's Day )

Psych )

I don't have much to say about White Collar except that spoilers ) Oh and that it did excellently well at the ladies this week! Keep doing that!
Oh thank god my downloading finally fucking worked, a.k.a. NCIS latest ep, Good Cop Bad Cop )

Psych )

And finally: yay, Glee. In that way where it is entirely ridiculous but fun and the songs are ACES.
So, I also kinda promised a post on TV.

ncis. because I did promise geek about television. )

I also watched Merlin! oh god, I hear you cry? )

As for Psych... does 'omg love ftw' count as a spoiler? )

On a similar note, from what I've seen of Glee, my love for the fact that someone managed to make a show where it's plausible for every episode to be a musical episode is IMMENSE.

And finally: LOL LOL LOL.
