I got out the book for a re-read, partly to look for this panel (which I didn't remember offhand) in context (found it), and noticed how much else is relevant. First page, news report: "Police raided seventeen homes in the Birmingham area early this morning, uncovering what is believed to be a major terrorist ring." Terrorists, uh-huh.
