Looking at this panel, enlarged and by itself, I'm struck by the creativity of light and shadow in Lloyd's work.

But of course it's also searingly relevant. I got out the book for a re-read, partly to look for this panel (which I didn't remember offhand) in context (found it), and noticed how much else is relevant. First page, news report: "Police raided seventeen homes in the Birmingham area early this morning, uncovering what is believed to be a major terrorist ring." Terrorists, uh-huh.

Way better than the movie. They took the best and most philosophical monologue out when they adapted it for the screen. :(
