Fun times.

I keep reading that average human body temperature is decreasing, too. Proposed mechanisms are basically "we are getting fewer infections and aren't as inflamed, so actually when we started measuring temperatures enough people were running a low-grade fever all the time to shift the average" though I think it could just as easily be "early thermometers were not always well calibrated". (I haven't looked into this in detail.)
