I foolishly decided to get memed by [livejournal.com profile] beanie_j and the results prove to be a bit... complicated.

1) Comment and I may give you three people. Or objects. Or who knows what.
2) Post this meme with your answers.
3) Provide pictures and the names of 3 people.
4) Label which you would marry, shag, and throw off a cliff.

My three?

1. Nathan Fillion
2. Tahmoh Penikett
3. Shia LaBeouf

So who gets hitched, itched or ditched? )

OK, and now I need to stop wasting time (again!) and get some sleep. Need to fix the Poison Pen interview tomorrow. And also do some shopping for eldest niece's birthday.

But I figure this is as close as the Celts get:

Your Animal is the Crane

Deep down, you are a very secretive person. You keep a lot to yourself.

You may seem friendly and outgoing, but it's not the full picture. You prefer your own quiet company.

You are a smart and talented person. You have an amazing set of skills.

You are also quite reflective and thoughtful. You have a unique spirituality that is always growing.

Fairly good I guess, although "friendly and outgoing" is a bit of a joke. LOL!

(I added the baa just in case any of you are sick enough to think I meant Shep :P)

Snurched from [livejournal.com profile] djfavorite and [livejournal.com profile] marimba26:

So, shadowmaat, your LiveJournal reveals...

You are... 0% unique and 22% herdlike (partly because you, like everyone else, enjoy writing). When it comes to friends you are normal. In terms of the way you relate to people, you are wary of trusting strangers. Your writing style (based on a recent public entry) is conventional.

Your overall weirdness is: 14

(The average level of weirdness is: 29.
You are weirder than 26% of other LJers.)

Find out what your weirdness level is!

I dunno, having my writing called "conventional" seems like such an insult. Maybe I should have blogged about Doctor Horrible first so my "recent entry" would be a little weirder. Ah well. At least I'm 41.2% interesting. But not at all unique. And only a 14 on Weirdness. Sigh.

Interesting results. Personally, though, I don't like Hillary. She kinda scares me- and not in a good way. ;)

85% Hillary Clinton
84% Barack Obama
83% John Edwards
81% Bill Richardson
79% Joe Biden
75% Chris Dodd
75% Dennis Kucinich
73% Mike Gravel
46% Rudy Giuliani
41% John McCain
36% Mitt Romney
33% Mike Huckabee
26% Tom Tancredo
22% Fred Thompson
17% Ron Paul

Your Famous Last Words Will Be:

"So, you're a cannibal."

I'm feeling a bit guilty about not getting Middle Sis and her hubby anything for Christmas, even though they warned me (almost daily) not to and said they weren't getting anything for me. They are, of course, which I just found out yesterday, and Mum's gotten them things, too. *sigh*

I've decided I really can't put my feelings about Utopia into words beyond "Nnnrrrggg" so instead I'll do the Google "YOURNAME needs" search thingy:

1. Shadow needs a rub. (*cough* depends on who does the rubbing)
2. Shadow needs to shrink. (If I get any smaller I won't be able to go on roller coaster rides)
3. Shadow needs your voices! (I'm thinking some kind of scary device that steals voices from people so I can use them for myself! muahaha!)
4. Shadow needs to go. (hmph! not fair)
5. Shadow needs a home. (is someone trying to tell me something?)
6. Shadow needs his food! (I'm a she, but yes, food is good)
7. Shadow needs therapy. (hey now!)
8. Shadow needs a foster. (foster what? Foster home? WHAT ARE YOU TRYING TO SAY?! *clings to house*)
9. Shadow needs to transfer files. (this has something to do with me getting kicked out, doesn't it?)
10. Shadow needs to be one shade lighter. (any lighter and I'd be albino)

Personally, I like #16: Shadow needs weapons. Muahaha.

This summary sounds a bit closer to the mark, IMO (not sure about the modest and humble thing, but it's better than softly spoken), and I like the name Callum, too. Not as exotic as Philotheus, but then sometimes simpler is better. So far I've seen a crow, a tiger and a lynx.

WTF with that damn spider?? It's FOLLOWING me....

I've got my AIM account back! *huggles AIM* Thank the merciful gods, AOL got off their penny-pinching butts and fixed the problem!

Makes me realize I don't have an appropriate joy-like av. Probably because I just wouldn't have much use for it. ;) Still, might have to wander around and look.

Meanwhile, I see someone has been playing with my daemon. When I find you I'll sic Philotheus and all eight of his hairy spider legs on you. :P

EDIT: Meanwhile, check out my fancy title:

Took the daemon-finder thing three times. First time I got the very odd-looking ocelot that everyone seems to get, second time I got a frakkin tarantula and now... you tell me if Philotheus suits me. ;)

Oi!! Who nicked my tiger?! :P
OK, the ferret's better than the tarantula, even if it's a bit Draco. ;)
And back to the tiger...
And now a bunny wabbit hare...
And the Malfoy ferret. Hmm... I'm beginning to sense a pattern. Five questions, right? So probably five daemons. I'll be bouncing from Tiger to Tarantula to Hare to Ferret to Ocelot all week. ;) Although the description seems to stay the same. Modest, assertive, spontaneous, humble, and... soft spoken?
Tarantula.
Tiger.
Hare. Am I right? Or is it a bunny? The ears seem hare-like.
Ocelot. I think I'd feel better if the image actually LOOKED like an ocelot.
Tiger.
Draco.
Hare.
Tiger.
Hare. Or bunny.
AAAUGGHH!! Frakkin' SPIDER!
Draco.

you are darkolivegreen
#556B2F

Your dominant hues are green and yellow. There's no doubt about the fact that you think with your head, but you don't want to be seen as boring and want people to know about your adventurous streak now and again.

Your saturation level is medium - You're not the most decisive go-getter, but you can get a job done when it's required of you. You probably don't think the world can change for you and don't want to spend too much effort trying to force it.

Your outlook on life is slightly darker than most people's. You try to see things for what they are and face situations honestly. You'd rather get to the point than look for what's good.

Pick your birth month.
- Strike out anything that doesn't apply to you.
- Bold the five-ten that best apply to you. [Me: screw that, I'm doing ALL I think apply!]
- Copy to your own journal, with all twelve months under a lj-cut.

FEBRUARY:
Abstract thoughts. Loves reality and abstract. Intelligent and clever. Changing personality. Attractive. Sexy. Temperamental. Quiet, shy and humble. Honest and loyal. Determined to reach goals. Loves freedom. Rebellious when restricted. Loves aggressiveness. Too sensitive and easily hurt. Gets angry really easily but does not show it. Dislikes unnecessary things. Loves making friends but rarely shows it. Daring and stubborn. Ambitious. Realizes dreams and hopes. Sharp. Loves entertainment and leisure. Romantic on the inside not outside. Superstitious and ludicrous. Spendthrift. Tries to learn to show emotions.

What a pity I can't snurch more stuff from the other months...

Use the first letter of your username to answer each of the following. They must be real places, names, things, nothing made up! If you can't think of anything, skip it. Try to use different answers if the person in front of you had the same first initial. You can't use your name for the boy/girl name question.

Hmm... Me likey this quiz. ;)
shadowmaat: (Darkside)
Got this in email, but I'm too lazy to do a mass mailing so I'm posting it here instead.

1. Egg Nog or Hot Chocolate?

Hot Chocolate. Although I like my nog, too.

2. Does Santa wrap presents or just sit them under the tree?

Never even heard of presents not being wrapped unless they were too big or awkward.

3. Colored lights on tree/house or white?

Both. Colored on the flag pole, white on the tree.

4. Do you hang mistletoe?

Hell no!

5. When do you put your decorations up?

We just got everything up last week.

6. What is your favorite holiday dish (excluding dessert)?

Roast beast with all the trimmings. *drools* I've eliminated most beef from my diet, but I make up for it in this one meal. ;)

7. Favorite holiday memory as a child?

Can't remember anything specific except maybe for the time we all got calendars with a certain day circled. We were going to Disney World! Oh, and the year my sisters and I chipped in to get mom a copy of her favorite (and massively out of print) childhood Christmas book. She cried. The book holds a place of honor on her shelf and she always remembers it as the best present she's received. Which should make up for me completely fluffing out this year. *sigh*

8. When and how did you learn the truth about Santa?

What truth??

9. Do you open a gift on Christmas Eve?

We used to. Not so much now that we're all grown up.

10. How do you decorate your Christmas tree?

The nieces did it this year. Doesn't seem to be as much fun as it was when I was little.

11. Snow! Love it or dread it?

Both. Love to see it but I don't like the cold and if you're out on the roads it makes things... interesting.

12. Can you ice skate?

If I have to. Been a long time since I did it with any regularity, though, and all the cool little ponds and swamps I used to skate on are either dried up or on private and unfriendly property.

13. Do you remember your favorite gift?

Trip to Disney, my first computer (a TRS-80 Color Computer II!), the $100 Amazon gift certificate my sister just sent me. Woohoo!

Why are there 13 questions on this quiz? Is that intentional?
shadowmaat: (Heat Miser)
On the twelfth day of Christmas, shadowmaat sent to me...
Twelve dodos drumming
Eleven aliens piping
Ten forensics a-leaping
Nine wales dancing
Eight icons a-milking
Seven books a-swimming
Six frogs a-writing
Five alte-e-e-ernate realities
Four young wizards
Three baudelaire orphans
Two good omens
...and a chocolate in an astronomy.
Get your own Twelve Days:

Y'know, the dancing Wales would be a lot funnier if they were marine mammals instead of a small country with a consonant fetish. ;) I hope the seven books are ones I don't like or they'll be too waterlogged to read. Two good omens- I'll take as many as I can get. Funny that it got the number of orphans right and as for the chocolate astronomy... sounds like a match made in the heavens. :)

I want a dodo drumming, dammit.

Mostly recovered from the awful day at work. I was doing fine until I asked Karla for a five minute de-stress break and she said I had to finish processing the pile of boxes first. I got mad, Charlie yelled, I took my break and huddled in the front room, crying. :(

I hate this part of Christmas.
