When teams are evaluating OCI for AI workloads, the same question arises: how do the pieces fit together to serve a large language model in production—not as a hosted API call, but as infrastructure you own, schedule, and control? To answer this, we built a complete, working reference application on OCI: a RAG system with an agent layer, serving an open-weight model on a GPU, running entirely on OKE and provisioned end to end with Terraform. We walk through the architecture and why each OCI primitive fits where it does: https://lnkd.in/eMACzNwt

Using a WaterPump model, we demonstrate how Digital Twin Adapters in OCI Internet of Things Platform handle timestamps, nested components, attribute names, unit conversion, endpoint-based routing, and selected JQ expressions to map heterogeneous telemetry streams to a canonical model. https://lnkd.in/esB_83Gv

Can you see one trace that starts with an AI agent request, crosses the Spring Boot and JDBC layers, and continues inside Oracle AI Database? 🤔 Yes—with Spring Boot, Micrometer, Oracle JDBC observability providers, and DBMS_OBSERVABILITY, the same request can appear in any OpenTelemetry-compatible observability backend as application spans, JDBC spans, and Oracle AI Database server-side spans. This walkthrough shows you how: https://lnkd.in/e2XAb3EN

OCI Container Instances now support persistent file storage, allowing customers to mount persistent volumes backed by OCI File Storage Service directly into containers running on container instances and enabling applications to retain, share, and manage data independent of the container instance lifecycle. To provide customers with more granular control over database storage utilization, Oracle Exadata Database Service on Dedicated Infrastructure and Exadata Cloud@Customer now support custom ASM disk group sizing. 🎉 See how this gives customers greater flexibility to optimize storage utilization for the specific needs of each workload. It also reduces planning risk by allowing storage allocations to evolve over time as operational requirements, backup strategies, and development workflows change. https://lnkd.in/eDMCiXdF

Agentic AI systems do more than generate answers. They retrieve evidence, call tools, use identity, maintain state, coordinate across components, and sometimes trigger side effects. That changes the evaluation problem. We introduce the OCI Agent Evaluation Framework as a lifecycle approach to evaluating agents: qualifying capabilities, testing prompts, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), tools, and trajectories, assessing release readiness, monitoring production behavior, and turning incidents into recovery and recertification coverage. https://lnkd.in/eFD3guyw

We’re partnering with Quantinuum to bring its Helios quantum computer to OCI, giving customers a new way to explore hybrid quantum, AI, and HPC workloads.
We’re partnering with Oracle to help accelerate the commercial adoption of hybrid quantum and AI computing. Quantinuum and Oracle announced a multi-year strategic partnership to bring quantum computing to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) customers. As part of the collaboration, Quantinuum’s Helios quantum computer will be deployed in a U.S.-based Oracle AI data center and made available through OCI’s quantum service, alongside OCI’s HPC and GPU infrastructure. The goal: Give OCI customers a practical and secure way to explore how high-fidelity quantum computing can complement existing AI and HPC workloads—using the governance and access controls they already rely on. We believe the future of enterprise computing will bring AI, classical supercomputing, and quantum computing together.
