Funding Societies Singapore reposted this
14 weeks, and just like that, summer flew by. And here I am, officially wrapping up my time as a Financial Product Intern here at Funding Societies. As a FinPrd Intern, I’m super thankful that I got the opportunity to work with and interact with different teams across Sales, Credit, Collections & Operations, helping to automate and optimise some of their day-to-day processes. Jiayun’s (my boss) Slack status at the start of the month reads: “There are 3 certainties in life — Death, Taxes and Monthly Reporting. Today’s the third one.” After seeing him burn his weekends doing the report, I can totally understand the fear behind it 🤣. And fittingly, one of my most meaningful projects was automating the ESG regulatory reporting process, cutting processing time by more than 15 hours (saving Jiayun his weekends…?)🤞🏻. Watching something that was once a huge manual process become almost completely automated was definitely one of the most satisfying and fulfilling parts of my internship. Beyond the work, I am most grateful for the people I met along the way ❤️. I’ve made so many new friends and received so much support, guidance and kindness from everyone at Funding Societies. Javier Lee, thank you for all the random chit-chats, where somehow every conversation with you would turn into a random life lesson / geography lesson / history lesson 🌎. And Brian Tan, thank you for unexpectedly becoming my next dive buddy 🤿! A huge shoutout to Vince Wang, Jia Yun Lee and Arin Mak for taking a chance on me, trusting me and giving me the opportunity to learn so much over these 14 weeks. And of course, to my fellow interns, Yi Ywe Lin, Matthew Leong, Zhi Yu Yeo, Felix-Patrick Forlemu, YUJIN JANG _ , Wenpu Zhao, Archita Joshi & JOEL CHOY, thank you for making lunch (and tea breaks) one of the things I looked forward to most in the office. I’m really glad to have spent this summer with y’all. 🥰🫶🏻 It’s not goodbye just yet tho… I’m excited to announce that I won’t be leaving just yet! I’ll be moving over to the AI & Automations Team as a Software Engineering Intern, where I’ll be working with Shawn Lim, Daniel Poon and Brenda Bong for the next 4 months!
