1️⃣ True-to-Color Rule 1: People should look the same in any lighting. Difficult lighting can make a camera push an entire face towards one color, losing the subtle differences between skin, lips, hair and clothing. Colored light should still influence the image—it is part of the atmosphere. But believable tones should retain their natural depth and variation instead of becoming one flat block of red, blue or green. ✅ Quick check: If the lighting is colorful but the person still looks recognizable and alive, the camera is probably handling color well.
