Still relying on a Cognex Corporation In-Sight 5000 Series camera? With the series now obsolete, the real question is not simply what to replace it with — but how to plan the upgrade properly. Can the existing application be migrated? Is a direct replacement the right long-term option? What else will the upgrade affect? And how should validation be addressed? In our latest blog, we outline five questions life sciences manufacturers should answer before upgrading, helping reduce risk, avoid unnecessary disruption and protect production continuity. As a global Cognex Platinum Partner and life sciences system integrator with more than 25 years of experience, Catalyx supports the complete upgrade process, from application assessment and replacement selection to integration, testing and validation. Read the blog to learn how to plan your Cognex camera upgrade with confidence. https://lnkd.in/dcdD8m3t #Cognex #MachineVision #ObsolescenceManagement #PackagingAutomation #PharmaceuticalManufacturing

When operational pressure builds, adding more headcount can feel like the obvious answer. But the real challenge is often not the number of resources. It is how those resources are managed, supported, and held accountable for delivery. Catalyx Managed Services brings people, expertise, governance, and performance together under one structured model. With dedicated GMP-experienced teams, defined SLAs, measurable KPIs, and clear service ownership, we help customers reduce management burden, improve consistency, retain critical knowledge, and scale with changing operational needs. Because better outcomes require more than additional capacity. We manage resources. And we manage results. Manufacturing is entering a new phase of intelligence, one where AI doesn’t just automate, but adapts. Self-healing AI marks a turning point for regulated industries like Life Sciences. It identifies errors, retrains autonomously, and evolves within strict compliance frameworks such as GMP, FDA 21 CFR Part 11, and the EU AI Act, all while keeping human oversight at the core. In our latest blog post, we explore how adaptive intelligence is transforming regulated manufacturing from reactive to self-improving. 👉 Read more: https://lnkd.in/e-gRqgiJ

2 August 2026 marked an important milestone for the EU AI Act. But what does it mean for pharmaceutical inspection? As more of the Act’s provisions become applicable, regulated manufacturers need to consider not only what AI can achieve, but also how it is controlled, explained and overseen. For AI-enabled inspection, that means asking: Can the result be clearly explained? Is the supporting evidence traceable? Has the system been validated for its intended use? Can operators and Quality teams review and challenge decisions? Are model changes and performance monitored over time? Not every pharmaceutical AI application will be treated in the same way. Its intended purpose, risk and role within the wider process will determine which requirements apply. In our latest blog, we simplify what the EU AI Act means for pharmaceutical inspection and explore the key principles manufacturers should consider when adopting AI in a regulated environment. https://lnkd.in/dV3wG7EY #EUAIAct #PharmaceuticalManufacturing #PharmaceuticalInspection #ArtificialIntelligence #MachineVision #GMP
