Laceco is pleased to be participating in IFAT Saudi Arabia, the Kingdom’s leading exhibition and conference dedicated to waste, water, and environmental technologies. At the event, Nisrine El Hougeiri, Director of Design and Environmental Services at Laceco, will moderate a panel titled “Adopting and applying circular economy tools and principles for the construction sector to achieve full circularity.” The discussion will bring together complementary and decision-making perspectives from national planning and regulation, building codes and technical standards, and mega-scale project development, with panelists including Fatimah Alhussain from the المركز الوطني لإدارة النفايات (موان) | National Center for Waste Management (MWAN), Professor Ali Shash from the Saudi Building Code Center, and Nahla Jaouhari representing Qiddiya | القدية. During the session, the panel will explore how Saudi Arabia is moving from planning to implementation in construction and demolition waste management, one of the most critical and impactful waste streams in the Kingdom, given the unprecedented scale of development and the associated environmental, spatial, and economic implications. The discussion will focus on lifecycle integration introduced through the national CDW framework, alongside the regulatory and technical foundations and market-enabling mechanisms required to scale circular practices across the construction sector. We look forward to the discussion at IFAT Saudi Arabia. #IFATSaudiArabia #CircularEconomy #CDW #Construction #Sustainability
