Metal Yeti Pelican for me, 7+ years. Through some of my hardest times. EH!

Downloaded because of that. Didn't really get a chance to listen.

Today, old car, the one I love, stereo hasn't worked in 5 years and now it works. Put on a mix of all my Bandcamp stuff on a stick. This was first song.

Everything works again right now. No death. New puppy. Just me, wifey, and puppy on her first road trip. Will never forget the first play of this.

New level? Maybe, but definitely new scene. Favorite track: L.Layer.

albinobone They named it 'Actual Existence'. As an habitual postmodernist, I've secretly yearned for someone to tell me what really 'is.' What a relief to finally find it! It's been so exhausting to continually suspend the drawing of conclusions about 'reality.' Well, here are those conclusions. And they're just effing great.

about

Chicago-based experimental rock trio RLYR (pronounced “Relayer”) are proud to present their sophomore album Actual Existence, a four song full-length that distills and expands on the explosive energy and anthemic catharses of the band’s 2016 debut Delayer. Comprising Steven Hess (Locrian, Cleared), Colin DeKuiper (Bloodiest, ex-Russian Circles), and Trevor Shelley de Brauw (Pelican, Chord), RLYR’s indelible earworm melodies belie the intricacy and labryinthian structures of their songs. Actual Existence represents a step forward in complexity for the instrumental band, while preserving the exhilarating climaxes and frenetic intensity that are hallmarks of their live performances.
