Your mastodon post about understanding yourself as sapphic/ loving women in a lesbian way even though you are not yourself a woman resonated a lot with my own experience, although I'm more or less a cis man which is obviously not an identical situation. This is a hard thing to articulate clearly, especially in public spaces where people who don't know me personally might see it, and so I just wanted to say that I appreciated seeing your own adjacent piece of articulation.
Heyya! I'm super stoked that this does resonate with you! Curiously, you're not the first "more or less" cis man who said something similar to me. In most cases they are in a committed relationship (or otherwise restrictive environments) and are just too scared to experiment. But either way I'm not to judge and just happy that someone both understands me and I could help you understand yourself a teeny-tiny bit better. All the love <3

Heya! This is simultaneously an easy and a complicated question :)
Easy first: Since you ask this Q in the first place, I assume that you'd be tolerant/accepting of my identity. In which case I don't care at all – some call me Leo and he, others Janis and she, others use ElleJay/LJ.
There are situations though where I ask people to use Janis and she exclusively. And this in contexts where I cannot be sure that those who'd e.g., use Leo and he or they or even it, are doing this because they're transphobic. This includes business situations or official events if they're not specifically queer. In those cases I demand the "political" she :-p
In any event though I feel uncomfortable with the combination of Leo and she or Janis and he. Leo is my "male" name and Janis my "female" name, the first coming from Leonard Cohen and the latter from Janis Joplin.
