Wilson <\/h2><span class=\"subhead\">Vice President for Research<\/span><\/div><p>Vice President for Research Angela K. Wilson leads Texas A&amp;M University\u2019s top-tier, globally recognized research enterprise, which ranks 13th nationally among U.S. public universities in research expenditures, exceeding $1.394 billion in fiscal year 2024.<br><br>Dr. Wilson brings a high level of expertise to her executive role, drawing upon her extensive background as a prominent chemist and an accomplished research administrator who has directed large-scale scientific programs across federal agencies and major higher education institutions. She is a Fellow of the American Chemical Society, the American Physical Society and the American Association for the Advancement of Science, and is a National Associate of the National Academies. The International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry (IUPAC) honored her as a Distinguished Woman in Chemistry in 2013. Her honors also include the 2014 Wilfred T. Doherty Award, the American Chemical Society\u2019s 2015 Francis P. Garvan-John M.
