How did you go with reading your borrowed books? Did you make startling amounts of progress? Respectable amounts? Less than optimal amounts (yeah, I hear you, I resemble that remark).

And! Because I love these challenges, suggestions on what I might put up for a challenge in the near future? Time to be determined, depending on spoons, weather, and a stack of unpredictable events in the near future.

I have ended the week with one fewer borrowed books than I started. I finished one, abandoned one, and borrowed something lighter because I couldn't read another dark one after the one I finished.

So, I'm at 'less than optimal' because I wanted to not have borrowed books, and get on to the bundle of ebooks I acquired recently.

I started and read enough of Some People Need Killing to decide I wanted to finish it. I did not finish it before it was due back, but I have been able to borrow it again immediately. (It is compelling and upsetting so very much not a bedtime-reading option.)

I have not opened the other two books, but I have a couple days left on each of them, and multiple people waiting. I've given up on the language audiobook, no brain capacity remaining.

I made it to the end of’The Perfect Child’ which was totally not my thing and a real struggle. I’ve made it to just over the halfway point of ‘The Guardians’ . I managed a couple of chapters of the Earthsea final book in the omnibus. I did manage to finish (unplanned) ‘Empress Orchid’.
