I have two three library books that need reading, and no motivation to read them. Can I interest anyone else in a one week challenge to read and return borrowed books?

Yes! I have 4 books on ebook loan due back in the next 5-8 days, this would be a helpful challenge to get through them.

  • Some People Need Killing by Patricia Evangelista (non-fiction, Economist Best Books of 2023), due 1 April 21:44
  • Ink Blood Sister Scribe by Emma Törzs (fiction, 2023 Locus Recommended Reading, first novels), due 4 April 17:07, 2 people waiting
  • Lessons in Chemistry by Bonnie Garmus (fiction, don't remember source), due 4 April 18:25, no-one currently waiting

Plus Pimsleur French IIIA due 3 April 18:11, which is a series of audio language lessons, meant to be done daily, but I have more lessons left than days. So "just" need to do 2 a day until I get caught up.

Yess!! I keep saying I'll finally read before bed tonight and then watch Youtube for an hour instead.

I have:

Piranesi
Mammoths at the Gates
What Feasts at Night
Underland

I've actually just finished my last library loan and returned it today and my next one currently isn't due until the 12 April, but I do have a couple of other books that I really want to get a shift on finishing:

'The Guardians' by John Grisham
'Earthsea - the First four Books' by Ursula K Le Guin (just the last book 'Tehanu' left to read)
'The Perfect child' by Lucinda Berry.

Not sure I'll get through all three but at least one or two would be good.
