First, they competed for their father's affections, and later for who would run the family business. The conflict came to a head, however, when Kai stole his brother's great love, Anne (Katja Studt). Disappointed and hurt, Tom broke with his family and emigrated to Australia. Eighteen years have passed since then. Now, after a tragic incident, Tom finds himself in Malaysia. At the luxury hotel owned by Peter Gruber (Robert Giggenbach), an old family friend, he finds a job as a diving instructor. Gruber wants to expand his "Ocean Turtle Resort." Marine biologist Sarifah (Raven Hanson) is determined to prevent this, as the expansion on a previously untouched stretch of beach would destroy the nesting grounds of the sea turtles.
