Flavopiridol suppresses the expression of NDRG1 in mouse HCC tissue. a Immunohistochemical staining for mouse NDRG1 is performed on paraffin-embedded mouse HCC tissues. NDRG1 expression is evaluated in six high-power fields (×400) with random selection, and the average is calculated. NDRG1 positivity is quantified using the Aperio ImageScope (Aperio Technologies). The Aperio ImageScope calculated the extent of strongly positive, positive, weakly positive, and negative staining. NDRG1 positivity is defined as the percentage of positively stained (strongly positive, positive, weakly positive) cells divided by the total cells. b NDRG1 expression is significantly lower in the groups treated with flavopiridol compared to the control (p < 0.001) and groups treated with doxorubicin (p < 0.05).
